To see someone shouldering a heavy trial with courage is both humbling and inspiring.
I wish I could tell you that tomorrow won't be difficult. I wish I could tell you that everything is going to get better soon. You know as well as I do that things may get more difficult or may get even worse than they are. On difficult days I sometimes finding myself thinking of our pre-mortal life and wondering, "Why did I sign up for this?"
But then I remember that God is good. I remember that I'm learning things I could learn in no other way. I remember that if I "endure well" and keep moving forward, I'll eventually come to the top of each mountain and when another mountain shows it's terrible climb, I'll conquer it as well, a step at a time.
When we signed up for this mortal experience, we signed up for a fight, a long battle with our own weaknesses, the weaknesses of others, a pitiful, yet powerful adversary, and the tragedy inherent in a fallen earth. This is the human experience we looked forward to and one day, when we look back on it, we'll cherish each and every day, both the breathtaking and the dismal. So pray, push, cry, and feel, then do it all over again, each and every day, until you look up and discover you've covered more ground than you ever thought possible.
