One thing I try to help my students fully understand is that we have a "one by one" Savior. The Nephites approached Him one by one. Temple work is one by one. The Sacrament is administered one by one. A few years ago, I was listening to Elder Merrill J. Bateman speak about the Atonement. He said something I'll never forget. He said, "In some way we'll never fully understand, in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Savior of the World, lived your life." It makes sense that the Atonement would be a one by one experience as well. He is the only one that knows exactly what you are feeling and experiencing. Go to Him. Rely on Him.
