Like you, I have been frustrated when things don't go the way I had hoped and prayed for. We make requests and set expectations for God and are disappointed when He doesn't meet them. Sometimes the heavens are heartbreakingly silent when you long for reassurance. However, we make a mistake when we question God’s love or even His existence instead of questioning our expectations.

When prayers seem to go unanswered, try to remember that "faith in God includes faith in God's timing." A large portion of being faithful is being patient. The Lord's timetable is often painfully slow. However, when He says, "My ways are not your ways" He may be saying, "I know it's hard, but please believe that I know what I'm doing. Trust me."
