I know what it is like to be discouraged and disappointed by my own weaknesses and mistakes. High standards and high expectations for ourselves are important to our own progression. With that said, be careful to not allow this strength to become a weakness. The Lord is compassionate, understanding, and merciful. He knows why you do the things you do. He knows the difference between weakness and rebellion. He knows everything about you and still loves you. Like a patient parent, He does not expect perfection. Instead of being disappointed by our mistakes, He is proud when we are determined to learn from them and to do better in the future.
