My heart hurts to hear of those who have to deal with depression, anxiety, and the host of other mental health problems. They need the kindness and understanding of caring friends and family. They need our full attention and love. Often, I wonder if we expect them to fix this problem on their own. We can't ask them to heal their own mind because their mind is the very thing that torments them. The pain must be overwhelming and heartbreaking. They don't get to rest from it. Put your arms around them, sit with them, and let them know you don't think they are crazy or that it is all in their head. Be patient with them. Make sure they see the best doctors and counselors you can find. Most of all, tell them you will never leave them to fight alone.
