If you’re not careful, every time you like a picture on FB you can end up subtlety insulting yourself - Why am I not as healthy as her? Why am I not as smart as him? Why am I not that adventurous? Why isn’t our marriage that happy? Why aren’t my kids as successful as her kids? These kind of questions chip away at your self-esteem and can eventually lead to more serious problems. Be mindful of comparison. You wouldn’t allow someone else to constantly criticize every aspect of your existence. If social media hurts you like that, it is probably time to unfollow some people, take a break, or drop it entirely.
You are more than enough. You are of infinite value. The Lord doesn’t compare us to each other because we each have our own journey. You can have peace and confidence as you let go of envy and embrace your path.
