Don’t give up the spiritual ground you’ve earned through study and prayer. Satan’s first attack on Christ when trying to tempt Him was “If you’re the Son of God...”, but Jesus had just heard the voice of God at His baptism and refused to give up that experience. Like Christ, we have to be true to the divine experiences we’ve been given.
