I think you'd be shocked at what some of your favorite people think of their parenting abilities. Those who obviously are succeeding often see themselves as failures. They magnify their faults and cast their successes aside. Sadly then, they never get to rejoice in all they've done right because of the intermittent mistakes they've made.

Avoid comparing your worst to other people's best. That isn't the way the Lord works. There is no such thing as a perfect parent. If we do our best, and repent when we fall short, the Lord will honor our effort as if it were perfect.
