When the Lord had the people of Alma covenant to bear one another’s burdens, He obviously knew heavy burdens were in their future. Living the gospel is not a get-out-of-trials-free card. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to admit your burden is too heavy. Don’t just tell God about your pains. Trust that your closest friends and neighbors are going to keep the promises they’ve made and will stand under the burden with you.
