We have a small family tradition based on this quote. If you spend some time with our family you'll likely hear me say to one of my children, "How do you know if somebody is smart?" They'll always respond with, "They say thank you!"

I believe gratitude that goes unexpressed isn't gratitude at all. Be the rare one, the brave one who tells people how grateful you are for them and how much you love them before it's too late.
