Contention

There is a point in the Book of Mormon, in 4 Nephi, in which there is no contention. None. Mormon says it’s because of the “love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people.” I noticed that it wasn’t love for one another which reduced contention (although I’m sure that helps), but it was loving God.

Too often we try to get our children to love each other when our efforts would be better served in helping them learn to love God.
