One of the most difficult lessons of life is learning to wait for blessings you feel you are ready for. Have you ever asked God, "I'm asking for a good thing here, why are you holding back?" I always seem to discover later that His timing is always so much better than mine. I'm not sure if you've had this same experience, but it has taught me about patience and trust. I frequently find myself saying prayers of repentance like, "Thanks for not giving me what I wanted. You've done a way better job than I could have."
