Living in a culture dripping in comparison and competition makes this statement difficult to comprehend. We all sometimes fall into the mental trap of our worth being a combination of our looks, wealth, vacations, toys, fitness, popularity, awards, and talents. Comparison based self-esteem is dangerous and destructive.

Fortunately, the Holy Ghost can cut through the lies and remind our souls of the transcending love of God. Put yourself in places you'll feel an abundance of the Spirit and cut yourself off from the sources of constant comparison and competition. You'll feel the pressure of the world fade and an uplifting, enabling spirit will take its place.
