Someone typed up this little story in the comments of one of my posts the other day (yes, I read them all!) and I loved it. Criticizing, tearing others down, and finding flaws in everyone and everything is not a sign of superior intelligence. Not all criticism is bad and we should learn from others' perspectives, but don't fall into the trap of thinking that swinging an emotional wrecking ball is a sign of extraordinary intellect.
The real talent is in building. Creation takes careful planning, long hours, and meaningful effort. Lifting others, investing time and talent into building something you believe in, encouraging others, seeking to alleviate suffering - these are better and nobler than shouting, insulting, demeaning and gossiping.
Don't take the easy way of venting and vilifying. Instead of getting angry, go serve. Instead of arguing, go encourage. Instead of tearing down, go build.
