Being Christlike

Never allow anyone to use “being Christlike” as a reason to allow someone else to cross personal boundaries. You have every right to defend yourself and those you love from those who destroy lives and families. Spiritual manipulators will accuse you of being un-Christlike because you don’t tolerate their behavior. They never want to sacrifice or be “Christlike” themselves, but they’ll gladly accuse you at the drop of a hat. The most evil ones will even turn those you love against you in order to get you to buckle. Don’t break. Being Christlike means having a spine and defending who you love and what you know to be right. Think of the Savior calmly cleansing the temple. Clear boundaries. Simply accepting someone’s behavior because it’s easier than defending yourself and those you should be defending is the furthest thing from being like Jesus.
