I am heartbroken at the loss of my friend Steve Sorensen (far left of this picture). These last few years Steve has been a close friend and mentor to me. He taught me about business, fatherhood, and devotion to Christ. He was fully committed to building the Kingdom of God on the earth. I’ve seen him teach the gospel as a father and grandfather, as a CEO, and as a bishop.
If you’ve listened to the Follow Him podcast, you’ve been blessed by Steve. One of his last projects was starting and producing that podcast and I was lucky enough to be included.
My heart aches for the pain Shannon and her children and grandchildren are experiencing right now. Their family, the Church, and the world have lost an incredible force for good.
I hope I can moving forward with Steve’s passion, optimism, and energy. The last few days I’ve asked myself what Steve would say if I could ask him how to deal with this. I think he’d say, “Hankster, my man! Keep the faith my brotha! We are building the Lord’s kingdom here. The Lord will make this a win/win all the way around. We have to act fast so we can be a part of it.”
