Mercy and Justice

It is sad to hear of those who want to feel the love of the Savior, but think they have somehow done too much wrong or gone too far. Similarly, there are those who think someone they love is too far gone in the wrong direction.

The Savior's atonement is infinite - there is no mistake or sin it cannot completely cleanse. If the Savior were a mechanic, His shop would be full of scratched, dented, and totaled cars. Yet he would continually turn out each one looking and feeling brand new.

When the Savior brought Lazarus back from the dead, there were many that said Lazarus had been dead too long. The Savior did what they thought was impossible.

Remember, the moment you earn or deserve mercy, it is no longer mercy, it becomes justice by definition (because you have earned it). Mercy is mercy precisely because you don't deserve it.
