Avoid comparing your worst to other people's best. That isn't the way the Lord works. There is no such thing as a perfect parent. If we do our best, and repent when we fall short, the Lord will honor our effort as if it was perfect. My mother-in-law used to say, "Go sit on the porch and tell the Lord you can't keep going... and then go back inside and keep going."
