Our love and friendship cannot be based on church activity. In fact, many have returned because they felt continually loved by their family and friends no matter their decisions. Of course we all get emotional, especially over something we love, and we’ll make mistakes. Repentance, apologies, and forgiveness create strong bonds which can last decades. Keep loving and listening and allow the Lord to do His work. They are not lost to Him.
