The Lord is absolutely brilliant isn't He?! Each time we feel like we are asked to sacrifice, we are usually making an incredible investment. I remember Elder Nelson saying, "as you consistently give the Lord a generous portion of your time, He will multiply the remainder."

Are missions, callings, temple trips, service hours, church meetings, etc. really sacrifices of our time? Perhaps they are the Lord's way of allowing us to feel like we are contributing when really we are receiving much much more than we give.

Maybe that's why that little stream kept singing, "Give away oh give away!"
