Time with Children

I need to wrestle with him even when I don't feel like wrestling. I need to read to him even when I'm exhausted. I need to watch her favorite show with her even when it's cheesy.

I sometimes find myself thinking I can make up lost time (time that I chose to give up because I was working, or too tired, or glued to my phone) with my children by buying them fun gifts and I consistently find it is a fool's errand. When the surprise quickly wears off, I find that what my children really want for their birthday, or Christmas, or any other day,... is time with me.
